Julie is a Registered Dietitian in private practice. She provides individual consultations, creates programs for corporations, consults for food companies and gives professional and public seminars.
Before moving to Southern Oregon she was the Program Director for The American Heart Association in Cleveland where she designed and implemented programs to help reduce heart attack and stroke risk.
Julie also coordinated Nutrition Projects for the Preventive Cardiology Program at the renowned Cleveland Clinic Heart Center. She was the dietitian for the Lipid Clinic, conducted research and helped create an entertaining culinary-education program that celebrated local chefs.
She is certified in Childhood and Adolescent Weight Management by the American Dietetic Association and has recently developed a program to promote healthy weight in children.
She received a Bachelor of Science in Human Ecology from the Ohio State University and completed a Dietetic Internship in Augusta, Georgia through University Hospital and The Medical College of Georgia.
